Music producer Sub Focus shares warped song remix

Fast-rising dance music star Dimension has remixed the Sub Focus classic Timewarp’, out now.

The Dimension remix of ‘Timewarp’ sees the London-based DJ and producer craft a rework that’s an inspired fusion of psy-trance and D&B, characterised by pummelling beats and euphoric breakdowns, that loses none of the anthemic energy that made the original so special.

Widely hailed as one of the innovative songs in the history of Drum & Bass for it’s switching time signatures, the instantly recognisable ‘Timewarp’ was released back in 2008 as the first single from Sub Focus’ self-titled debut album.

The remix will feature on Reworks I, Sub Focus’ forthcoming remix album made up of some of his favourite producers putting their own spin on his early releases; which represent some of the genre’s most influential records. A launch party will take place at London’s iconic Ministry of Sound on Friday 30th July, with support from Culture Shock, Bou, 1991 and unannounced special guests.

One of the leading names in dance music, Sub Focus remains a central figure in the D&B scene. Having originally made a name for himself with legendary tracks such as ‘Rock It’ and ‘Follow The Light’, he has since released multiple chart-topping singles and albums, being awarded several gold and silver discs by OCC. He’s also become an international headline act performing at the likes of Glastonbury, EDC, Warehouse Project, and having sold out Brixton Academy and Printworks London with his solo live show. His new live show ‘Circular Sound’ debuts in November 2021 to a sold out crowd at Printworks London.

One of the fastest rising stars in electronic music, Dimension’s combination of seemingly effortless musicality and production prowess has caught the attention of countless scene tastemakers, including Zane Lowe, Annie Mac and Skrillex, who remixed his lauded single ‘UK’. He has previously collaborated with Sub Focus on ‘Desire’,  the 2018 track that has since amassed 80 million global streams as well as being awarded Track Of The Year at the 2018 Drum & Bass Awards. Having recently released his debut album ‘Organ’, Dimension will perform his second live show at a sold-out Printworks London in December.

The Dimension remix of Timewarp’ brings a whole new energy to the adored track, while losing none of what has made it so revered.
