Renowned as Rotterdam’s most progressive electronic music festival, Festival Downtown returns from 20 – 21 September with one of its biggest and most prestigious lineups to date.
This year, Festival Downtown celebrates a decade of being at the forefront of electronic music in The Netherlands, boasting a lineup with headline acts such as the iconic Sherelle, Samurai Breaks, RE:NI, Omar Souleyman and K.O.G Soundsystem. The festival is free during the day, however at night you will need a ticket to experience the extravaganza.
Festival Downtown will be hosted in various outdoor and indoor locations in Rotterdam’s inner city. The stages include WORM, Club Centraal, Cannibale Royale, Boomgaardsstraat, Eendrachtsplein and Westblaak Rotterdam/ Netherlands.
With headliners like Sherelle who was awarded DJ Mag’s Best British DJ in 2021, world-renowned Syrian prodigy Omar Souleyman, UK-based Ghanaian performer K.O.G Soundsystem and Samurai Breaks who received DJ Mag’s Best Breakthrough Producer in 2021, this year’s festival is bound to be a feast for electronic music lovers. Supporting acts include the exceptionally talented Martha Da’Ro, Franky Sticks & Wantinga, Beraadgeslagen and many more.
Festival Downtown’s cultural impact on Rotterdam’s electronic music scene is undeniable, as it’s an integral part of the city’s DNA.
