CAEZAR ‘Hold On’: Wild Culture Slam Dunks the Remix

Electronic Duo right out of Austria, Wild Culture has remixed ‘Hold On’ by CAEZAR and premiered Friday 10 May via The Playground. The track is taken from CAEZAR’s upcoming HAIL! The Remix EP set to drop sometime soon.

The album will feature a list of producers all involved with remixing various tracks lifted off their previous HAIL! EP, namely Is Tropical, BAXT, In Flagranti and MAKESHIFTER. About working on ‘Hold On’ however, Wild Culture lent a few words: “It was cool to work with the vocals from “Caezar – Hold On” and give the original track some back to the future 80s vibes, bouncy electronic elements and our own samples which we recorded in the Austrian mountains.”

The track is a stunning nod to its original by retaining focus on the vocals, but the sound is dirtier, darker and more emotional. I dare say… Wild Culture found a way to make the lyrics mean even more or at least… make their interpretation of the words more prevalent. Much like Twenty One Pilots accomplished with the remix of the beloved Black Parade staple ‘Cancer’ by My Chemical Romance. Wild Culture brought a version of the song that makes us think about it differently and we appreciate it.
